At the end of the season, the community votes for one chicken to be spared. The winner is never harvested — it is kept alive and cared for as the permanent project mascot. Every authenticated account gets exactly one vote.

All chickens are housed, fed, and cared for humanely for the full eight-week season regardless of the season's outcome. The survivor vote determines which single bird is kept permanently as the project mascot; it does not reflect on the treatment any chicken receives during the season itself.
